With a warm ‘Welcome to Salzburg,’ the International Office welcomed 108 incoming students from a total of 30 different countries to the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences at the beginning of September. The traditional ‘Welcome Days’ offered international students a varied programme with informative events and cultural highlights.

A total of 108 students from 30 different countries – including 11 Erasmus+ KA171 scholarship holders and 10 Ernst Mach scholarship holders – will spend their exchange semester or year at FH Salzburg.
Extensive programme and friendships for life
In addition to important introductory events – organised by the departments, the student council (ÖH FH Salzburg) and the international programme coordinators – the programme also included numerous get-to-know-you activities. Particularly popular were the joint excursion to the Golling waterfalls, the guided tour of Hohensalzburg Fortress and the cosy socialising at Augustinerbräu.
This semester, special attention is also being paid to integrating visiting students into campus life. Numerous buddy students accompany the incoming students and assist them – a valuable experience for both sides, which often leads to international friendships.
Salzburg University of Applied Sciences wishes everyone involved an enriching time – academically, culturally and personally!
